Scary Seizure Day
Our family went to the Jones Sinter Klaus Christmas party anticipating a fun enjoyable night. Until.... Neicell had just fallen asleep on my lap when Eric said she is acting weird. Sure enough, she was seizing and we were off. We scooped her up and drove towards the hospital by the time we reached my office she had stopped and we decided to run her in to one of the pediatricians that was on call for the night. Long story short she is doing great and hopefully next week we should have more answers from her neurologist. She hasn't had a seizure for 20 months and this one was so mild compared to that one. She wasn't blue this time and it lasted 10-15 min. compared to 1 hour with a life flight in the mix. We are so grateful we have such wonderful supportive family close and the wonderful doctors I work for. Neicell is so special and sweet it breaks my heart to see her go through these trials. Her twin is also so incredibly caring for her other half.

Merry Christmas
“Daddy that man is wearing panties,” says Erickell. The funny comment comes from our dear little one strolling down the beach when a man rollerblades passed us. Yes, of course the man heard her and couldn’t help but laugh with us. We are so grateful for our child’s innocent comments because they make us smile. The twins enjoyed a wonderful 5th birthday in Southern California. They were spoiled with a birthday party with Mickey and Minnie, Luncheon with the Princesses, and of course a cool shower from Shamu. Nope not spoiled at all. hahaha
Neicell smiles and asks, “Mommy when is Jesus going to put a baby in your tummy.” Yep it takes a little more than that, but she is too young. Neicell is our little mommy. You probably will not see her without a baby in her hand, stroller in front, or an infant carrier drooped over her arm. She loves babies and let me tell you she puts me to shame. I learn so much from her patience and sweet disposition that she has with her babies.
To catch you all up to speed I will give you the run down on our family. Eric, yep still the same, which we are very grateful for. He works for AF City as the Street Department lead man (manager) and fights an occasional fire for the AF Fire Department. He also works, more than full time, for his demanding wife.
Nickie is in the process of moving back to the hospital. I have spent the last year as the office manager for Utah Valley Pediatrics. I have loved office work and the hours, however, the kids are my life and I need to be home. UV peds are so wonderful to let me stay on as their quality nurse and educator. I am very excited to get back to the NICU and work from home when convenient.
I am the luckiest Mom ever. I have two beautiful, energetic, sweet children that for some reason love me. I have a wonderful husband whose major goal is to make me happy (impossible). We have been so grateful this year to get by without any big catastrophes, except the flood. We experienced the scare of the San Diego fires. This was an experience that our family needed to see. We saw families with their cars full of the only belongings left in their possession. What would you grab if your house was about to be burned down? Good question! It seems so trite but we are truly grateful for our beautiful home and all that we have.
We are so grateful for this Christmas Season. We are so blessed to have our family and friends close who care about us despite our faults. We are especially grateful to our family and friends who kept us afloat during our flood. I can’t express to all of you the feeling when you know that your family and friends are there for you, no matter the cost. This Christmas Season is a time to reflect on our Savior and his gift to us all. He is our example. He has put all of us first and sacrificed more than we will ever know. We love you all and are in debt to you for your service, friendship, and love.
