Tour of Utah

Eric and I waiting 3/4 of the way up Suncrest. We couldn't decide where to watch these guys? We finally thought at least up Suncrest we could watch them for a longer period of time than up the Alpine Loop.

I would give anything for one of those bikes. One day I will take Suncrest at half the speed those amazing athletes did. I was blown away at their strength and stamina. It is amazing these guys have already road over 400 miles in 5 days and this was the last day and last 20 miles of 100. WOW

I had chills and couldn't stop screaming. Kell has just gotten into riding this year, so she also thought this was pretty cool

Mom of the year award presented to ME!

I am very embarrassed to admit this, but have been humbled. I have never felt so helpless in my life. We took the girls and 2 nephews to 7Peaks. We have been their a bizillion times this summer. Eric took off with Kell and the nephews while Neicell and I played in kiddo area. I sat on the side, tanning, while keeping a keen eye on Neicell as she played. Well, I guess not so keen, my little girl was gone in a second. My initial thoughts were, "Oh she is just on the other slide (in the same area). I scanned the area like a hunting eagle. Nope she was gone. I ran around the lazy river, like some crazy women. Yeah, I was in my swimming suit, not very attractive when a woman runs in a swim suit unless you are watching Bay Watch. Still, no Neicell; at this point tears are streaming down my face. In my head I was thinking the worst and wanted to scream CODE BLUE! In my life/work code blue gets everyone's attention and of course gets you the most hands and help. I ran to life guards, who were no help, and said "go look here or there." Finally, I remembered my dear friend, who I was just talking to was there. Thank heavens her head was on straight and said she would scan the wave pool while I ran around with my head cut off. It was probably 10 minutes, which seemed like 2 hours and she comes walking up with Neicell's hand in hers. I broke down and lost it. I thought for sure my daughter had drowned or had been stolen by some pedophile. Neicell couldn't tell us where she had gone or who had taken her to the "lost and found". I was humiliated on top of feeling like I betrayed my daughters trust for not taking better care of her. It is difficult to grasp the needs of our Neicell. Her twin can be set loose at 7Peaks and can find me, as if I have a beacon on my head. Neicell can get lost in our house and can't see me if I am standing right in front of her. I know these things, but it is a frustration as a mom to watch her be so dependant. I will never let that child out of my sight or allow her so much freedom. As we have pondered on what she may have done, I realize now she just got lost on the other side of the pool. She probably started screaming, "mom, mom" like she always does when she can't find me. Some helpful bystander assumingly took her to the "lost and found" What parent looses their child and finds them at the "lost and found" NOT ME, at least till now. I am beyond grateful for my dear friend and above all my dear Heavenly Father who continually blesses my life. I couldn't bear loosing my angel and knowing I was at fault.

Celly's favorite part of celebrating mom and dad's anniversary was the roller coaster in Park City

Kelly's first SOLO ride on the Alpine Slide.

Celly is such a blast to ride with. She screams the whole way down and loves a thrill ride.

Celly and Mom

Kelly and dad

Eric and I celebrated our 13 anniversary sharing it with our beautiful daughters. How else to celebrate such an amazing accomplishment then having a family outing. It is hard to believe we have been married 13 years, like all the old people say, time flies by when your having fun. It seems like yesterday we were in High School. You know you have a great relationship when you don't need to converse in the car and silence isn't awkward. Marriage is bliss when you are excited to hear that Dodge come up the road, because you have missed him dearly. My life is complete when he holds my hand and tells me he loves me beyond words can explain. I am grateful for all the love this man gives me and my children. Above all I am just content knowing that he is by my side despite my faults.

7 Peaks

Kelly and her cousin Bailee. We have enjoyed 7 peaks this year. It is nice going in the evening as a family and not feeling rushed and so worried about getting in all the rides. Thank heavens for the "pass of all passes" I am betting we got our money out of them.

Big Daddy's getting bigger (older)

You could say Momma was in the dog house for taking sleepy head pictures, but in our house we say SUCKAH! One year older and wiser too, Happy Birthday to YOU

Kelly's County Swim Meet

Kelly did amazing. We are awaiting the results but she took 2 in both of her heats which we are betting overall she took 2 in County. What an amazing little fish we have, I am so proud of her.

What 8 year old gets themselves up at 7:20 everyday during the summer to work out? MINE!!!

Celly and her babies

I went outside to see what was at the bottom of the slide and this is what I found. Celly's babies all dressed up in hers and Kell's swimming suits.

Camping at Payson Lakes

Camping in a "field of gold" was mommas highlight. The girls loved swimming at the lake with their boat and turtle. Erickell and Nickie loved jumping off the dock into the lake. The girls made a bug net with an old net and aspen tree limbs (pretty impressive). The art project of the trip included finding all the different leaves and coloring them, they insisted on finding more and coloring everything....

Yearly tradition to Lagoon

We got a little bored waiting in line so enjoy the funny pictures. The girls love their yearly trip to Lagoon. For Eric and I, it seems to be more of a task then fun as we get older. Pretty sad how old we are getting and feeling.

Twins will be twins

I love when my girls play together. This is one of their sleep-overs.

Webkins-ville. The girls made a village for their furry friends.

Steel Days Big Show

I have a very hard time with Steel Days, mostly because Eric is nonexistent. Eric is so busy between working for the city and being on the fire department. He gets so worn out and I get worn out dealing with the kids and all the activities. Thank heavens this is the big ending.

Steel Days Carnival

If it wasn't for the free carnival tickets and yearly tradition I wouldn't subject myself and family to this cruelty. I hate the carnival, however, it is worth seeing the smiles on my kids face.

Swim team-meet at PG

I am so proud of my little fish. At this meet Erickell took 2nd place in breast stroke and freestyle. She also took 1st place in the IM. Thank heavens for cousins and friends who help keep her entertained for hours while she isn't swimming.

Celly and her babies

Celly is such a sweet momma to her babies. I learn daily patience and love from her and the way she treats her babies. This is her swinging her baby Tammy in Grandma Heather's horse swing. Oh yes, all her babies have names and ages.

4th of July fireworks

Crazy Kell, she was everywhere with all the cousins and their cousins

Ugh not very cute pic but we got one. Neicell looks like a sneeky little devil

Celly and her dad playing with their glow sticks

We took the girls to the park by the stadium with my sister and her huge extended in law family. We enjoy hanging out and talking, and of course getting to view the amazing Stadium of Fire fireworks without going in.

4th of July traditions

Every 4th of July we hike up Battlecreek and view the waterfall and play in the water. This year we took Eric's sister and her family. I am so grateful for my brother in law Ash, he took Neicell's hand and they became buddies the entire hike. Ash is so willing to play with the kids and they all love him. I love my family!

Grandpa's Day

I am so grateful for such an incredible man that raised and trained me to be the person I am today. I had such an amazing childhood with so many wonderful memories. I am so grateful for all the love and sacrifice my dear dad endured to give me the world.

Ahhh Neicell loves her Grandpa

My sweet dad has all the cards given to him over the years. I think that is so sweet
