Logan Temple

Logan Temple what a beautiful Temple. The girls were freezing but they "love to see the temple"

Our family went to the Hardware Ranch in Logan Utah. The girls didn't enjoy the drive but Eric and I loved the long drive.

Neicell loved the sleigh ride until the horse almost bit her hand off.
This was the biggest daddy!

This Elk has some type if genetic disorder which he only grows one side to a 2 point. I thought it was interesting, Eric thought it was a sad display of his man hood (whatever?#@)

Update on Neicell

We went to Primary's yesterday. They have adjusted her medications and hopefully we will see an improvement in her sleepiness and no more seizures. I pray this may be an answer, but until then we will continue to share our room with the rat and have many sleepless nights.

He was "crushed on me"

I picked Erickell up from school on Monday and the first thing she told me was "everyone was crushed on me." What the heck... I began to ask multiple questions to get down to the bottom of this. She told me everyone was running around at recess saying they were crushed on each other. Well, then I asked "So, Kell, what does crushed on me mean?" I was really nervous for the answer but she told me, "they really like you." Phew, I guess I should think optimistic. I laughed so hard I couldn't believe these cute kids running around screaming I am crushed on you. Way cute! She couldn't even remember which boy was crushed on her. Way to go girl keep it that way and remember no kissing till 16, that was my rule.

New Year's Resolution

This morning started out with an adrenalin rush. Eric yelled for me at 600 am, and I knew as I threw the covers of me, my daughter was in trouble. I woke up screaming "no, oh please no!" Neicell was, once again, having a dreaded seizure. She doesn't shake, like most would imagine. She twitches, her eyes bounce, she froths at the mouth, and her mind is elsewhere. Oh, and don't forget she turns BLUE (not breathing blue). I can't explain to people who haven't experienced their child in this state the feelings of hopelessness, and despair. I know she will come out of it, because she has in the past. But what frightens me more than anything is the fact it happens every time during the night and I am not the one who wakes up. I feel so alone and dependant on Eric to hear or be in tuned for this very thing. I lay awake at night praying this won't be the night. I diagnose every little noise on the baby monitor determining if the sounds are good or bad. It takes a moment like this to bring my life into perspective. I have made my life so busy with trying to be perfect; making sure my house, my children, my life is just perfect. I have forgot to stop and smell the roses. My sweet twin roses who are always there begging for attention.

So my New Year's Resolution is to be that Mom that sits on the ground and gets dirty. That Mom that says "screw it" lets play. I want to be the Mom, that when my children hear these words they think of me...
Fun
Loving
Spontaneous
Trustworthy
Honest
Faithful
Young (at heart)
Crazy
Dependable
and above all
PATIENT

I am so grateful for all my sweet friends and family for always being there for me. I couldn't survive all the challenges life brings without your support. I love you Eric and I am so grateful you are by my side throughout this life. I truly don't deserve someone so great.

Wow, the girls thoroughly enjoyed sledding downt he water tank hill

We would drive the girls to the top of the hill and then unhook the sled and slide down. We also pulled the rats around behind the wheeler, we had such a blast. We also got goin pretty darn fast and the girls kept begging to go faster. Maybe I am getting a little chicken in my older days.

Christmas Day

Daddy-O

Christmas wasn't the same without Eric. The last 2 years it has snowed on Christmas. Yes, it is beautiful and nice for everyone else, except for the families who Daddy has to plow the roads so families can get together. I hate it. Eric and I both have the joy of working weird hours. I had to work Christmas Eve till midnight and then Eric was gone all day from 730am till 1100pm. People need clean roads and babies are born at all times. I guess we should just be grateful we have a job, but when it comes to Christmas and families it really puts a damper on things. I am very grateful for my parents for letting me and the girls stay with them all day. I couldn't bare going home without Eric there and I felt at home with my parents. The girls enjoyed playing with Grandma and Pa and of course they loved sleeping over.

Christmas

The girls were told that Santa brought Daddy some money for our trip to Mexico. Mexico would be Christmas but a couple gifts from Santa. So Erickell, wished for a Nintendo DS and Neicell hope Santa would bring a new baby with a car seat. Thank goodness they were good girls and got their wishes. Santa also brought Eric a special surprise. Eric and I promised eachother we wouldn't buy eachother anything because of Mexico. I just can't do it, he got plane tickets to Boston and money to purchase tickets to a NY/Boston MLB game. And yes, I am going also, so it was actually for both of us. I also was surprised, kinda, with a new camera. I have wanted a larger digital camera to take nice pictures and I was lucky enough to get one. Thanks Eric!!! Now I have to figure the darn thing out. Thank goodness I know a lot of people who have them to give me a tutorial hint hint...Christmas Eve The girls always get to open one gift and of course it is pajamas. Hey, at least they will look half way decent in the Christmas pictures.
Beyond the gifts, parties, vacations, and craziness. We did however, get the chance to remember the true meaning of Christmas. We sat as a family and reflected on Christ's impact on us and why we celebrate Christmas. When we asked our children why we celebrate Christmas they told me because of Santa. Boy, have I gone wrong somewhere. We then educated our children on Christ and what we should remember during the Christmas Season. I am very grateful for Christ and His birth. I can't wait for Christmas each year to feel the Christmas spirit and reflect on Christ and His impact on all of us. I only wish I could be more diligent on feeling and being apart of that Christmas spirit all year long. I pray you all have a wonderful Christmas and year.

Game Nights

My family got together after Christas to play games. We love to get together and play
We got to have the Wilcox girls over to play rock band and veg out.We had a game night with our neighbors. They gave us a new game for Christmas Zooloretto. We played that game for hours, it is a blast. We also played Snorta with the little girls who loved it.

My darling niece and nephew. They are wild animals but so stinkin cute. Stetson and Katelyn, they play so cute together

Twins First Plane Ride

This is a picture of take off. Neicell threw her hands in the air and screamed "WEE!" She is hilarious. She was so excited to fly in a plane. She kept telling Erickell the plane was going to crash and we were all going to die. That didn't go over well with Kell. She was paranoid to fly. I had to give her a Zofran to calm her stomach prior to boarding the plane.
As you can see Erickell isn't so thrilled to take off. She kept asking Eric if the plane was going to crash. Neicell is a little devil. She thought she was so funny pulling a fast one on Erickell.
Some how, Becca (monkey), Gabe (Gecko), and Spooky (cat) got stuffed into Erickell's backpack without her Mom knowing. I packed everything the night before and rechecked in the morning. Erickell couldn't live without her webkinz. Thank goodness she didn't bring them all everyone on the plane would have a new pet.

Our Resort and Beach

I only took one picture of our food. The resort had 5-6 restraunts and many snack spots. The food was awesome and the presentation, as you can see was remarkable. We loved it.
Neicell's first time on the Mexico beach
The girls couldn't get over the white sand and warm water.
The poor little things were freezing after soaking themselves and not being prepared with towels.
Our little family at our resort "The Sandos Caracol". We are headed out for the day. Everyone has asked me when they see this picture if it was cold? The first 2 days were over cast 70-75 degrees and the rest of the week the temp. was in the 80's. However, when you get out of the ocean it is always cold so we were prepared. Eric and I were a little disappointed this trip because we love to scuba dive and didn't get the opportunity with taking kids along to dive in the best waters, however, we are already planning our next trip without the "little people" so we can dive every day.

Snorkeling on Cozumel

Sculpture on the docking port of Cozumel. This is where all the huge cruize ships come and dockEric, Jay, and Jen snorkeling on Cozumel. This was Jay and Jenn's first time snorkeling and I think they are hooked
Neicell was so stinkin cute. She loved the snorkeling but couldn't quite figure the breathing out of your mouth consept.

View of Cozumel on our way back to Playa Del Carmen on the ferry boat.
Neicell and Mommy on the Ferry boat. I was lucky lunch didn't come up, it was so rough
